Le principe

Si $S_n \sim \mathcal{B}(n, p)$ , alors $S_n = \sum_{i=1}^n Y_i$ avec $Y_i \sim \mathcal{B}(p)$ i.i.d. d'espérance $p$ et de variance $p(1-p)$ ; le TLC donne $\dfrac{S_n - np}{\sqrt{np(1-p)}} \xrightarrow{\mathcal{L}} \mathcal{N}(0,1)$ , d'où $\mathcal{B}(n, p) \approx \mathcal{N}(np, np(1-p))$ pour $n$ grand (conditions pratiques : $n \geq 30$ , $np \geq 5$ , $n(1-p) \geq 5$ ).
