Le principe

Un estimateur de $g(\theta)$ est une variable aléatoire $T_n = \varphi(X_1, \dots, X_n)$ où $\varphi : \mathbb{R}^n \to \mathbb{R}$ ne dépend pas de $\theta$ ; son biais est défini par $b(T_n) = \mathbb{E}_\theta(T_n) - g(\theta)$ et l'estimateur est dit sans biais si $b(T_n) = 0$ pour tout $\theta$ .

La méthode

Je propose une fonction $\varphi$ de $(X_1, \dots, X_n)$ qui exploite l'échantillon de manière naturelle pour estimer $g(\theta)$ (moyenne, somme, max, etc.) et je pose $T_n = \varphi(X_1, \dots, X_n)$ .

Je calcule $\mathbb{E}_\theta(T_n)$ en utilisant la linéarité de l'espérance et le fait que les $X_i$ ont même loi que $X$ .

Je calcule le biais $b(T_n) = \mathbb{E}_\theta(T_n) - g(\theta)$ et je conclus : si $b(T_n) = 0$ pour tout $\theta \in \Theta$ , l'estimateur est sans biais ; sinon, je précise la nature du biais (positif, négatif, asymptotiquement nul).

Étape 1 —

Je propose une fonction
